Visit our website here and watch the video below to see us singing from the last time we hosted a Central Precinct Meeting!

On April 19th, 1969, the Gamma Omega chapter of Tau Beta Sigma was installed to serve the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band. For 11 years, the Alpha Delta chapter at Ohio University served as the big sister chapter until Gamma Omega relinquished national status in the sorority to become a local Pitt Band organization, Omicron Pi Alpha. Seven years later, on November 1st, 1987, Gamma Omega re-entered the sisterhood. Clarion University’s Delta Omicron chapter was called on to serve as the big sister chapter for the reinstalled Gamma Omega colony, and Clarion remains our big sister chapter to this day!

Our current chapter sponsor, Ryan “J. Ryan” Minster, was the first male sister initiated into the Gamma Omega chapter in 1995, and we are fortunate to have such a dedicated and historically prominent sponsor (shout out to J. Ryan!). In 2013, Gamma Omega sister Becky Davidson was awarded the NED Unsung Hero Award.

From 1995-2013, the Gamma Omega Chapter and our brother Alpha Omega chapter have hosted four Precinct conventions and the NED convention, and we’re so excited to have everyone at Pitt again for 2017 Central Precinct Meeting!

MOTS of love, MLITB, and we hope to see you soon!
