University of Pittsburgh

Home to the Western Hemisphere's Tallest Educational Building, the Cathedral of Learning, the University of Pittsburgh is home to just under 30,000 students. Located in the neighborhood of Oakland, Pitt is a short distance from locations like Downtown Pittsburgh and Kennywood Park.

Some fun facts about Pitt and its Alumni:

-Mister Roger's Neighborhood was filmed in the building that is now used for the Music Department.

-The vaccine for Polio was discovered by Jonas Salk at Pitt in the mid-1900s

-Academy Award Winner Gene Kelly graduated from Pitt in 1933.
