Port Authority - Public Buses

The public transportation is very plentiful in the city of Pittsburgh. Many buses travel through Oakland to get to and from downtown. These buses include all of the 61s and 71s and more. The 28X travels from the airport to Oakland and beyond. There is also the T, which is similar to a subway system that travels through the city and across the rivers. There are also many buses that go to the nearby suburbs that have hotels in which the attendees can stay at.

Cash Fares:

Generally, fares are paid as the rider boards when heading inbound (toward Downtown/Oakland), or exits when heading outbound (away from Downtown/Oakland). This is in effect before 7 p.m. After 7 p.m., bus riders should pay as they board, regardless of direction.

A trip is $2.75 one way in cash (make sure you bring exact change!) or $7 for a day pass. You can find more information on the Port Authority's Website.
